"Back in 2007, author and friend Chris Eboch contacted me with an idea to write a book in multiple voices..."
Group Book Agreement: · Whenever a question comes up about the Group, decisions will be based on a majority vote. · Each Group member who works on the project from beginning to end will have an equal share of the project, and any proceeds from it (unless the Group votes to award a bonus to one person for special work). · If a Group member drops out of the project before the end, she loses her share. Because the story may already be dependent on her characters and ideas, the Group retains the right to use that material, if rewritten by another Group member or a new person. If the Group wishes to use the material as written, they will work out an agreement with the author who drops out. · If a Group member is not fulfilling her obligation or producing usable work, the rest of the Group can ask that person to leave. · Group members agree to produce material on a regular basis. If we aim for a 200 page novel, to be completed in six months to one year, each group member should produce about 50 pages, or one to two pages per week. Anyone who cannot produce material for several weeks should work that gap into the story, through a longer letter, either before or after the delay. · For the initial phase, Group members will exchange letters via e-mail. After we have a rough draft, the Group will work together to edit the book, by providing critique feedback to each member. |
